华人在美国的大城市生活或工作，由于夫妻双方工作都比较忙，而孩子又比较小或者老人、病人需要照顾，就需要聘请家政保姆来帮忙带小孩儿、照顾老人或者病人了。

Chinese people living or working in big cities in the United States often need to hire domestic helpers to help take care of children, the elderly, or the sick because both spouses are busy with work and their children are young or they have elderly or sick relatives to care for.

这种情况下我们应该注意，如果是自己私下里通过私单招聘的保姆，这种属于雇佣关系；如果是通过找正规的涉外家政公司，是家政公司委派保姆到雇主家里进行家政服务，因此华人雇主通过涉外家政机构找保姆有一定的保障。

In this situation, we should be aware that if the nanny is hired privately through a private agency, this constitutes an employment relationship; however, if the nanny is hired through a reputable international domestic service agency, the agency will dispatch the nanny to the employer's home to provide domestic services. Therefore, Chinese employers who hire nannies through international domestic service agencies have certain guarantees.

假设是私单保姆，如果保姆发生了意外的事故，比如摔倒、损坏物品等，雇主需要自行或者找保姆承担赔偿责任，很可能出现无保障的现象。

1. No protection for private nannies:

If a nanny is hired privately and an accident occurs, such as a fall or damage to property, the employer will be responsible for compensation, either by themselves or by having the nanny bear the responsibility. This may result in a lack of protection for the employer.

如果是通过与家政服务公司签定合同，有家政服务公司委派保姆道家服务的，保姆发生意外事件，由家政服务公司负责解决。一般的，家政公司都会为保姆购买家政险，保险理赔不足部分，再根据合同约定责任部分再由家政公司负责赔偿。

2. Guarantees from Domestic Service Agencies

If a contract is signed with a domestic service company, and the company assigns the nanny to provide services, the company is responsible for resolving any accidents involving the nanny. Generally, domestic service companies purchase domestic service insurance for their nannies. If the insurance coverage is insufficient, the domestic service company will be responsible for compensating for the remaining amount according to the contract.
